Based on your quiz results, you could be a great
future candidate!
But, there are a few potential reasons
you might not be ready for surrogacy yet...
If you’ve reached this page, that means that for at least one of these potentially changeable reasons, you don’t qualify for surrogacy right now. But, for many people, the items below are things that can be changed!
Based on your quiz results it looks like your BMI is not yet in a healthy range to begin a surrogacy journey just yet. But don’t worry, this is something you have the power to change! Getting to a healthy BMI range between 20-30 will make sure you have the healthiest and most successful surrogacy journey!
Studies have shown that our bodies respond best to IVF medications and embryo transfers when we hold a healthy weight and it plays such an important role in your health and your chances of having a healthy pregnancy! Women with a BMI above or below the normal range are at a higher risk of IVF and pregnancy complications. And since our #1 priority is that you have the safest & most amazing experience possible, we’re here to help support you in getting your BMI to a healthier point so that we can confidently get you the best agency options because you will also receive higher compensation offers once you meet those BMI goals!
We will email you our best BMI tips & tricks for you to start working on. You’ve got this mama! We are so excited to hear about the changes you’ll begin making and please know we are here to support you! Someone from our dream team will check in with you periodically to see how you’re doing. As a surrogate it’s best to wait until you and your little one are closer to your planned weaning stage. Of course, there is no pressure to wean from nursing. We are huge advocates of breastfeeding because that milk is GOLD & it’s a beautiful bonding time for you both!
IVF Clinics want us fully weaned by medical screening time so that our hormone levels and menstrual cycles have a chance to normalize & studies have shown breastfeeding may affect the hormones required for the IVF procedure plus we wouldn’t want those IVF hormones to affect your milk.
Agency options are available 3 months prior to weaning based on a typical surrogacy timeline so if you’re close to weaning it’s the right time to schedule & if not it’s best to hold off for now!
Someone from our dream team will check in with you periodically to see how you’re doing & when you’re closer to weaning.
We’re so excited to work with you!
It’s important that you feel comfortable and confident with understanding that as a surrogate you will need to begin weaning from tobacco and/or nicotine to make sure you have a healthy pregnancy. But don’t worry, this is something you have the power to control!
We will put your profile on a soft hold for 30 days and someone from our team will check in with you in a couple of weeks to see how you are doing with this wean.
As a Surrogate you can expect to have a drug and tobacco test done during Medical Screening, which happens around 3-4 months after starting your journey & connecting with your Agency.
If for whatever reason you feel like this wean wouldn’t be something you’re capable or willing to do and if you smoked during any of your pregnancies it may be on your medical records & unfortunately this is considered a disqualification so, please let us know as we want to make sure Surrogacy is the right fit for you!

As a surrogate it is so very important that the timing is right and #1 that it is a safe choice for you! All Gestational Carriers must be in an emotionally stable position to pursue a journey.
With that said we recommend meeting with your prescribing physician and discussing your ability to pursue a journey with any diagnosis you may have and a treatment plan to help resolve and bring you to a place where you can pursue surrogacy safely.
Please remember you should only begin weaning or have stopped medication because you and your doctor feel confident you no longer need it & it’s safe for you because your family needs the best version of you! If you have plans to wean we can begin your screening though we will put your profile on a soft hold until 3 months have passed post wean and your prescribing physician feels comfortable signing a medication clearance letter, which we can provide you with.

First off, congratulations on your baby!
Once you’ve delivered your baby it’s important that you offer yourself that precious healing time prior to starting your journey as a Surrogate. If you end up having a C-section, the typical postpartum healing time IVF clinics want us to have is 6 months prior to a medical screening, so you can begin your screening process and shopping Agencies at 3 months postpartum! If you have a vaginal delivery you can begin right away! (given that you are not breastfeeding- otherwise please see “Currently Breastfeeding” for details on what to expect if you do plan to breastfeed your sweet baby)
