When Jacqueline Baird was told she wasn’t able to carry another pregnancy she had to deal with so many emotions. After a lot of reflecting with her husband, Joshua they both knew in their hearts their family wasn’t complete and they would have to ask (and trust) someone else with the big task of carrying a child for them.

Jacqueline and Joshua sat down with us to share the surrogacy journey that led them to their beautiful daughter. Their story began with the uncertainty of infertility and the heartache of loss which led them to the path of pursuing surrogacy. Through their surrogate, they were able to welcome their beautiful daughter to their family and relish the fact that not only did they get their first daughter but their sons also gained a sister, their parents a granddaughter—that she is a precious gift for the whole family.

Residing in the Midwest with her husband and two young children, Marissa is a one-time experienced surrogate with a passion for design.

While still attending a university for Computer and Multimedia Graphics, she took it upon herself to chase after her dreams of being a graphic designer for MTV’s The Buried Life, boldly approaching them with the request after a 24+ hour drive across the country to meet them. There’s something to be said about making things happen for yourself!

Since that day, Marissa has been blessed with the opportunity to create graphics for some of the country’s most prominent and influential faces and shows, including Letterkenny, Justin Bieber, Jamie Lee Curtis, Darren Criss, Kygo, Tori Kelly, Scooter Braun, and of course The Buried Life, and has crafted artwork for businesses such as Target, Space X, Winc, My Hand In Yours, Inkbox, Spiritual Gangster, and Life is Good.

With a great amount of experience in the publishing space, Marissa has designed the cover of not one, but five books, two of which are New York Times Best Sellers. She even recently designed a book in its entirety from cover to cover for the very first time. Accomplishment!

After a successful embryo transfer in July of 2023, Marissa knew that she wanted to shift her career focus to the surrogacy world. One unexpecting day she saw a job listing for Surrogacy Is, and the rest is history! Marissa could not be more thrilled to finally be combining her love of digital design with her passion for surrogacy.

Breana is as much a dedicated professional as she is a family-loving mama. She’s a two-time surrogate, a wife, and a mom to two boys, plus her troublemaking puppy Copper who’s almost like a third child.

Breana started her family young and soon realized she could help others become parents too. Her journey as a surrogate in 2013 and 2016 was a deeply rewarding experience that led her into the surrogacy field professionally. She began at an agency, working her way up from intake to become a supervisor, thanks to her commitment and hard work.

Her passion for surrogacy led her to take on a new challenge as an Operations Manager at a busy fertility clinic. Seeking a more hands-on role, she eventually moved into the medical side as an IVF coordinator. For three fulfilling years, she was directly involved in the process of assisted reproduction, deepening her appreciation for surrogacy.

Outside of work, Breana cherishes her time with family. Whether it’s a peaceful day tubing on the river or a dusty trail ride on the quads in the desert, she enjoys making memories with her boys and Copper. Breana embodies a wonderful balance of professional dedication and a joyful family life.

Courtney is married to her husband, Michael for 17 years. He is in the military so they travel often either with the military or for fun! They have 2 girls and 2 furbabies!

Courtney is a 1x experienced surrogate and loved the journey so much. She is on her 2nd journey waiting for a match! She has always loved helping others and giving what she can to ensure everyone is happy! She knew quickly after her first surrogacy journey started she was hooked and wanted to help everyone she could learn more about surrogacy. After having her girls she knew she was done with her family and couldn’t wait to help someone start theirs. Giving a baby to someone is life changing and something she is so glad to have been able to experience. She started her first journey hoping to help a close family friend, but it didn’t work out and that lead her to find her IP and form a life long addition to her family. She delivered her first surrogate baby in Nov 2022, and has since then started to work towards her 2nd journey!

Courtney is constantly on the move and loves doing almost anything! She is always up for a new adventure and enjoys new things whether it is traveling, trying a new restaurant or helping someone! Riley is a 2x surrogate and a mom to a teenager that always keeps her on her toes. She came to surrogacy through a “Why wouldn’t I?” line of thought. She couldn’t think of a single good reason to not help other people have a family when she had the ability to. At the time she had no idea all the positive ways it would change her and her life. Her intended parents and surro babies are an extension of her family now and she is so thankful she gets to create that for other surrogates.

She loved both of her surrogacy journeys but found herself yearning for some of the agency experiences other surrogates were having. She wished for a more personalized feeling from her agency and didn’t want to be another part in the machine. When she heard the mission of Surrogacy Is, she knew she had to be a part of it! Advocating for surrogates was a passion she found unintentionally but one she planned to embrace very intentionally. Joining Surrogacy Is as a Surrogate Advocate allows her to make sure no other surrogate yearns for a different experience on their journey.

Riley spent a decade working in general, emergency, and specialty veterinary medicine before coming to Surrogacy Is. She feels there are a lot more similarities between the two fields than one would imagine and she loves being able to take skills she’s used for so long to help guide and comfort surrogates.
During her down time you will most likely find her trying to trick her son into spending time with her. When that fails she can be found in the kitchen cooking up something delicious, curled up on the couch watching a movie with one of her 4 pets, or catching up with friends- preferably over food!

Cheri is a dedicated and affectionate Solo Mama of 2 beautiful girls and a handsome Bengal kitty named Ramses. Cheri labels herself as a Birth & Breastfeeding Nerd. She freebirthed her second daughter in 2018 and immersed herself into birth work shortly after as a Birth + Postpartum Doula to support other women having informed birth experiences. In 2021, she decided to pursue surrogacy and matched with an amazing family. She birthed their baby boy in March 2023 and immediately knew she’d happily do it all over again. In the meantime, she found herself wanting to stay involved in the surrogacy world and found her tribe at Surrogacy Is! She is currently in the process of choosing an agency for her second journey!

Jade is a mama, a wife to her high school sweetheart, and an ‘old soul’ who loves listening to 70s-90s jams only. She's an experienced surrogate who fell so in love with her journey that she decided she wanted to stay in the world of surrogacy long after her own story ended.

Stephanie is a proud mom of two from Reno, NV and feels that surrogacy has allowed her to give back to others and make a positive impact in their lives. She finds immense joy in helping others and seeing their joy when they finally hold their baby in their arms.

Stephanie grew up thinking that having children of her own was not going to be possible due to medical reasons. However, she was overjoyed when she found out that she could easily get pregnant, and that surprise changed her life. Sam is an experienced surrogate, mother of 3, and part-time prenatal and kids yoga, mindfulness, & holistic wellness guide. She is devoted to being a part of creating a loving space for others in any and all work she does.

The joy Sam found as a result of carrying and witnessing the moment her intended parents and surro baby became a family motivated her to research ways to continue to be a part of the magic of surrogacy. . . and through that research she found Surrogacy Is!

Yamilet and Jair are the sweetest couple; loving parents, supportive partners, and now heroes to another family who needed their help to become whole.

Sunshine helped a gay couple in Australia fulfill a lifelong dream and became parents to beautiful twins!

Sunshine was a High School English Teacher, raising a teenager with her husband when she first decided to become a surrogate in California.

She matched with a gay couple in Australia, and they decided to transfer two embryos. Each embryo was created with donor eggs and sperm from each father, so the boys are fraternal twins and biological half brothers!

Sunshine describes becoming a surrogate as a wild decision she made that ended up being one of the greatest miracles of her life.

Sunshine was a High School English Teacher, raising a teenager with her husband when she first decided to become a surrogate.

She matched with a gay couple in Australia, and they decided to transfer two embryos. Each embryo was created with donor eggs and sperm from each father, so the boys are fraternal twins and biological half brothers!

Sunshine describes becoming a surrogate as a wild decision she made that ended up being one of the greatest miracles of her life.

Jenn is a mother of two living in Southern California. She's been a surrogate twice and discusses the responsibility of carrying children for someone else.



Jenn has helped two couples build their families and says if she could, she would do it a million more times because the joy it brings is like nothing else in the world.


Women are amazing, but our fertility window is small. Jenn and her cousin TJ were both able to carry a sibling for the same family and they all keep in touch to this day. Their stories are uniquely beautiful!
