Surrogacy In Illinois

How to Become a Surrogate in Illinois

Choosing to become a surrogate in Illinois is a fun and easy process if you have experienced surrogates by your side ready to answer any questions you may have and ready to support you throughout your journey.

After becoming a surrogate (three times!) and hearing countless stories from couples and single parents by choice who have gone through so much just to be able to start a family, it’s become my mission to make surrogacy accessible to moms just like you in order to help as many people as possible to fulfill their dream of starting a family.

If you don’t know it yet, approximately 6 million people in the U.S. suffer from infertility each and every year and about 200,000 of them will need to undergo IVF in order to get pregnant or seek the help of a surrogate to be able to start a family.

Why Become a Surrogate in Illinois?

For one, Illinois is a surrogate friendly state and the Gestational Surrogacy Act establishes standards and protects the rights of the surrogate, the intended parents, and even the unborn child. The law specifically states the responsibility, rights of each party, eligibility as well as contingencies for any untoward incident. But most importantly, because you will be making a couple’s dream come true.

Who We Are and Why You Should Work With Us

We are a group of experienced surrogates that will support you throughout your journey. We are your support group, your advisors, your experienced surrogate friend who can answer all your questions, your cheerleaders, and, most importantly, we take seriously the job of finding you the right surrogacy agency that will take good care of you and provide the best compensation and benefits.

Prior to Surrogacy Is, surrogates were at the mercy of Google’s algorithm, limited to the surrogacy agencies who pay top dollar for ad space and aspiring surrogates did not have the ability to examine multiple agencies and compare compensation without doing a ton of legwork that NO ONE has time for. I know because my first journey was with a surrogacy agency that did not pay well, and did not support me when I needed it. But it’s OK because it opened my eyes to the beauty of surrogacy and the opportunity to help couples start a family and help stay-at-home moms earn a significant amount of money and have a true advocate on their journey.

We also managed to get rid of the long and arduous application process and broke it down into two simple steps.

  1. Fill out our short pre-qualifying quiz to see if you are fit to become a surrogate in Illinois.
  2. Let us shop your options and connect you with the best surrogacy agency for YOU.

Before, you would have to visit one agency after another, fill out loooong application forms, and follow up with them one after the other without even knowing if you meet their requirements or not. Although general surrogacy requirements are the same, some agencies have special requirements depending on the market they serve. With us, you simply fill out one application form and we will be the one to look for an agency that is looking for someone like you.

Think of it as skipping the difficult part and onto the exciting part which is completing your pre-screening to make sure surrogacy is SAFE for you, then choosing the couple (or individual!) you want to help!

What Are The Requirements to Become a Surrogate in Illinois?

As stated in the Gestational Surrogacy Act, requirements include but are not limited to;

Again, surrogacy agencies may have additional requirements and all of it will be discussed prior to signing any agreement.

Surrogates are compensated really well in Illinois because what they do is nothing short of heroic. It may not seem like it if you do not have any problems getting pregnant and carrying it to term but it is a miracle and a dream come true to hundreds of thousands of couples in the U.S.

Compensation varies from one agency to another but compensation ranges from $40,000 to $75,000+ depending on several factors such as surrogacy experience, pregnancy history, support system, location and insurance. Those who carry twins are also paid even more. Some agencies also pay bonuses and provide perks like massages, spa treatments, and more. You will be pampered and taken care of for sure.
